vCISO

Security keeps landing on your desk. Let’s change that.

Compliance requirements, customer requests and everyday security decisions need someone to own them. Work with a vCISO alongside your existing team, with goals and responsibilities agreed up front.

What is a vCISO?

A virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) provides fractional security leadership. Vectari helps define priorities, assign ownership, build a roadmap and guide decisions alongside your existing team or IT provider.

Sound familiar?

You’re not the only
one facing this.

You have an IT partner. You have security tools. But the priorities, customer questions, and difficult decisions still come back to you.

What working together looks like

Practical work.
Clear deliverables.

01

A clear starting point

Understand your current program, business pressures, and the risks that deserve attention.

02

A practical roadmap

An agreed set of priorities, owners, and milestones that fits your resources.

03

Ongoing leadership

A working cadence for decisions, progress reviews, and communication with leadership.

Your team’s part

Built with you.
Not dropped on you.

Bring your business goals, your existing IT or MSP partner, and the questions that keep coming up. We work with the people already supporting your business.

The change you’re working toward

A security program with direction. A team that knows what matters next. And room for you to get back to running the business.

Scope, timing & investment

Start with the goals.
Shape the engagement.

The right level of leadership depends on the outcomes you need, the support already in place and how quickly you need to move.

Build the foundation

Establish ownership, a risk register, policies and a prioritized roadmap. Cost depends on what already exists and how much needs to be created.

Support customer growth

Prepare for compliance readiness, customer questionnaires, vendor reviews and contract requirements. The gaps to address, coordination required and depth of evidence shape the workload.

Lead an ongoing program

Set a leadership cadence, review risk and coordinate progress with your team or MSP. Meeting frequency, reporting audiences and implementation oversight affect scope.

Prepare for change

Plan security around new products, acquisitions or a changing technology environment. The number of teams, systems and decisions influences the level of support.

Bring your top three goals, target dates, current team and expected leadership cadence. We use those to define deliverables, responsibilities and pricing.

An illustrative engagement

From a baseline
to a working cadence.

These phases show how the work can fit together. Actual deliverables and timing depend on your scope, starting point and team capacity.

01

Understand the starting point

Agree goals and scope; review available records; identify risks and unknowns. Example outputs: a responsibility map and initial risk register.

02

Agree priorities and ownership

Choose the next actions, implementation owners and decisions requiring leadership approval. Example output: a prioritized roadmap with dependencies.

03

Review progress and evidence

Check completed actions, unresolved blockers and the next phase. Example outputs: an executive progress brief and updated action register.

Explore the phases in more detail or use the planning samples to discuss owners and evidence with your team.

A few things you may
be wondering.

Does this replace our IT provider?

No. Security leadership complements your IT team or MSP. We help define priorities and responsibilities; your existing partners can remain responsible for agreed implementation and operations.

Can you help with customer security questionnaires?

We can coordinate responses and supporting evidence within an agreed scope, working with the people who own the controls to confirm the facts. Missing information and follow-up questions stay visible. Request volume, deadlines and response expectations are agreed before work begins.

What involvement does our leadership team need?

Name a sponsor who can approve priorities and resources. Make time for decisions and give the engagement access to the relevant records and system or control owners. We lead the agreed security work; implementation responsibilities stay clear between your team, MSP and any other providers.

Do we need a mature security program?

No. The starting point can be a fragmented program or no formal program at all. The engagement is shaped around your needs and available resources.

What does an engagement cost?

Scope and cadence depend on your business, existing program, and priorities. We discuss those first, then agree on deliverables and pricing before work begins.

Make the next step
a clear one.

Clear ownership and a practical security roadmap.
